Cursor randomly disappears/lost focus while typing

I run Thunderbird on Desktop 4. Very annoying to have my cursor disappear and the app to lose focus while typing. Alt+tab reveals that the compose window is still the focused window but I need to stop, click the mouse in the compose window where it left off to regain my cursor, then continue typing.

BTW, thanks for a great product!

Would it be possible to have this english area of the forum to have all the buttons and knobs in english? My german sucks!
