Mouse hotspot for activating Full Screen Preview

Postby radiohang » 01.11.2009 16:06:26

Hi. 1st of all, thank you for Dexpot. It's a great software!

Sorry for my bad english. I'll try my best :) I'm previously a Mac user and just migrating to Windows 7. I usually run a setup where I move my mouse cursor to top right of the screen to enable Spaces (Dexpot equivalent) in Leopard.

So my questions, is there any way I could do the same setup with Dexpot?

Thank you

:dex:,

thank you.

That could be a feature for a future release.
Meanwhile you should give HotCorners a try (could be better though).
Best regards (wave)

Hot Corners

I finally figured out how to interface it with Dexpot...
Assuming Dexpot is installed in C:\Program Files\Dexpot, navigate to that folder and create a shortcut to dexpot.exe called fullscreenpreview. Right-click the shortcut and select Properties. Change the target to the following:

Code: Select all

"C:\Program Files\Dexpot\dexpot.exe" /V

Then, in the configuration of Hot Corners, select the Run option for your corner of choice. Don't use the Browse dialog, but manually type in

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\Dexpot\fullscreenpreview.lnk

That's it. If you also want a corner for the window catalogue, use the option /d instead of /V. Here is a list of all the available command line switches.

thank you for very informative reply.

sadly my antivirus flagged it as virus. even when i choosed ignore and run it anyway comes up error saying write error of hotcorners.exe. obviously not your problem. but too bad i wont be able to use it.

i guess i'll just stick with a hotkey to invoke full screen preview for time being.

thanks again!

The program itself, without the piece-of-crap-installer, seems to be clean. I've attached it to this post so you can try again if you like.
