I have to start Dexpot manualy now.
Is there a solution to autostart ?
Maybe autostart at the end of Windows startup , maybe after pause?

I did not set shared folder myself.

Starting Dexpot manually seems to work even if I didn't close it manually.
The last days the problem did not occur.

Did you set it to shared yourself or did you update from Dexpot 1.5?

Could you test if the problem goes away when you

By the way, the hotkey "Reload icons from profile" (Settings > Controls > Hotkeys > Misc) can be used to restore icon positions quickly.

I'll try again.

There are 5 virtual desktops created with Dexpot.
Every desktop has it's own icons, folders, etc.
I switch between these desktops with ALT+number.
Often the icons etc. on desktop ALT+1 (the first one) are replaced by the icons of one of the other virtual desktops.

Sorry, I'm still not sure what's actually happening. By "desktop icons" we mean the various shortcuts, files and folders placed on your desktop, i.e. the icons visible after clicking on the "Show desktop" button at the right edge of the taskbar. Is that what's being replaced?

Do you have the option "Customize desktop icons" enabled in Dexpot (Settings > Switching Desktops > Desktop elements)?

The shifting of the desktops is random.
Today I got: 2,2,3,4,5
It's Always desktop 1 though that is gone.

There are 5 desktops (1,2,3,4,5)
Sometimes it changes to (4,2,3,4,5,)
Desktop 1 is gone and replaced by another copy of 4 with the same content as 4.

My workaround is that when this issue happens I reload a saved profile in settings and save it as the standard.

After every reboot the first desktop is replaced by a copy of another desktop.
My work around now is that after every reboot I load a saved desklop set and save it as my standard.
Is there a fix in Dexpot or a solution in Windows 8?
