Desktop Preview shows icons for non-active apps

Post by traycerb » 27.05.2016 08:30:02

On Win10 running 1.6.14, Build 2439, the Desktop Preview shows some icons for Metro-style programs that aren't active.

See picture. In my case, the apps represented by those icons are Calendar, Photos, Settings. The only one of those I ever use is Settings, so maybe Win10 keeps the other ones running in the background. However, they aren't active apps with user-interactable windows and alt-tab on that desktop shows no running programs. Of course, they are in the Processes tab of the Task Manager, and when the process is killed, the icons in the Desktop Preview go away.

I have reported a previous issue with erroneous icons in the Desktop Preview here, but I'm not sure if the issues are related.
