Re: Dexpot and RAMDisks

Hi, Sammi, I put Dexpot on a RAM drive and it definitely seems to be much smoother. I used to have slight glitches when I accessed things like Configure Desktops, Assign Applications, and using the Window Catalog but the RAM drive got rid of all that. Everything moves at lightning speed now. Develop...

Bug- I have 20 virtual desktops. Desktop Manager only shows up to 9.

Hello, Fellow Dexpot Addicts, I actually knew about this bug a while ago but I never mentioned anything because I know how hard the developers work. But, this bug has been getting really annoying lately. The Desktop Manager is the feature which displays the number of each display on the side of your...

Re: Dexpot and RAMDisks

So, I guess it hasn't been tried yet. Maybe when I have time, I'll try to do it and let you, guys know what happens. Should be interesting! :dex:, So, my question is would installing Dexpot on a RAMDisk make my computer run more smoothly? probably not that much as Dexpot is just calling the Windows ...

Dexpot and RAMDisks

Hi, Everyone, Hope all are having a good day. I wanted to know what your thoughts were on installing Dexpot on a RAMDisk. Would it make a difference in the speed of the computer and the running of Dexpot? For example, I have 18 virtual desktops and on each, I have tons of icons. I haven't counted bu...

I'm on my knees begging. Please, please add this small feature. I will give my left hand (not my right).

Is there anyway that you can make it so that the desktops can be renamed to something else, instead of Desktop 1, Desktop 2 when they appear in Windows Explorer?

Please?

Re: Wrong initial desktop

I noticed that sometimes Dexpot would go to the last desktop that I quit with even though I set it to start at a certain desktop. Is this what's happening to you? Of late my initial desktop is not the one I put as initial in the settings. I want desktop (1, original) to start with, but often dexpot ...

A Cry for Help. Will Even Pay.

I've tried numerous virtual desktops and Dexpot seemed the best of the bunch. I even paid for the program, thinking it was the right thing to do if it was going to increase my productivity. So, I committed to it but sometimes, I hate myself for that decision because for the past many months (has it ...

How about KickStarter to pay off the founders?

Are the two founders willing to sell it? I know they probably have extremely busy lives and probably don't have enough time to commit to the development of one software. How much would they willing to sell it for? If they haven't received any offers from the large software companies because I'm assu...

Re: Future of Dexpot

I thought the same thing. I have a huge hunch that Microsoft is reading these forums to find the solutions to problems that encounter as they upgrade their virtual desktops. I wish that the Dexpot Founders would bring in some more staff and make it really good. Make it cleaner, less buggy, more feat...

Keeping Multiple Instances of Chrome to Permanently Stay at Different Desktops

Chrome really isn't a dedicated program. It can do so many different things. It also provides so much information. It would be a SMS messenger. It would be a password manager. Or it could be a research tool. With all these different tasks, I like to have each instance of Chrome on a different deskto...

Re: dexpot conflict with directory opus

Hey,

Did you get it to work? I was interested in getting Opus as well. Can you share what you learned?

If you didn't get an answer, maybe emailing Sebastion directly. He encouraged us to do that.

Please don't call me stupid for this question.

This question might be too easy for you long-term users so please don't make fun of me if it's so simple. I looked through the forum but couldn't find an answer. Is it possible to have the taskbar only show the files that were original opened in that specific desktop. When I move to another desktop,...

Re: Window position- & size-tool that works with Dexpot?

I'm looking for the same exact thing. I was looking for something gthat would save the i window position and size as well as the icons within them. It would really be awesome. I was able to websurf and found programs to claim to do it but I haven't had time to test them because as you probably know,...

Re: Window sizes changing on their own

Did you try turning off your chrome extensions or other windows startups? That might be a culprit.

Just found out that ublock origin has screwing around with my links that was bothering me for weeks.

Re: Perfectionism will make this perfect!!

Basically, it would be awesome if Dexpot could to 2 big things. I. You can save the location of any icon within every Windows File Explorer Window. II. When you start up your computer and Dexpot boots up automatically as well, it would be awesome if certain programs would open up in certain position...

WinLaunch and RocketDock with Dexpot?!

Anyone have experience using the following programs with Dexpot: 1. WinLaunch 2. RocketDock Major slowdowns with the computer? Or smooth sailing? Any suggestions like use WinLaunch on only one desktop or face freezing screens? Should I just forget about RocketDock in the first place or else face the...

Perfectionism will make this perfect!!

I have my settings set so that each desktop has its own customized icons. About 80% of the time, they do stay in the spots that I leave them there. When I move a lot of icons, I make sure to save my profile in settings. I was wondering if there was a way to take that 80% and make it 100%? Also, can ...
