enable logging should start new log file
For privacy reasons, it would be best if a new log file were created whenever logging is enabled, so that only the log of the current problem has to be provided. Otherwise people will be tempted to edit the file, possibly deleting important information. This would also minimize the amount of informa...

Log file does not include date
depot.log does not include the date, only the time.
It would help in debugging if the date were included on every line.

Re: Minimizing the Task Manager switches desktops
"Of course" now it is not doing it
So the problem is not easily reproducible.
Sorry.
p.s. the log file was disabled when I saw the problem, so there's no help from that, either.

Re: Firefox Issues
I think one could persuade Firefox to run separate instances if one were to select a different profile for each Desktop. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test this because my copy of Firefox v3.6.10 ignores the -P qualifier. However it does seem to work for SeaMonkey, which has profile manageme...

Re: start-up question
You'll probably have to provide more details about your configuration. I am not seeing this problem on my system. Coming out of sleep and hibernation, icons on all desktops look normal. I have seen icons displaced slightly when creating new shortcuts, but they were drawn in the correct places when I...

Re: Windows 7 Themes + Dexpot
Please add me to the list of people who would very much like to be able to use different Windows 7 Themes on different Dexpot Desktops.
Would it be technically possible for someone (not necessarily a Dexpot developer) to script a command which selects a Theme whenever a Desktop is entered?

Minimizing the Task Manager switches desktops
Whenever I minimize the Task Manager window, Dexpot switches to a different desktop. As best I can tell, the new desktop is random -- it doesn't always switch to desktop #1, for example.

Colored font for Desktop names
It would be helpful to me if I could specify the color of the Desktop name. The "Dexpot Settings" utility menu "Switching/Desktops" tab "Desktop names" allows the background color to be set but not the foreground (letter) color. I prefer dark desktop wallpaper images, s...

Re: Hotkey - Mouse Buttons
For what it's worth, I was very pleasantly surprised to find that the "back" and "forward" buttons on my 5-button Microsoft Intellimouse can be used to step back and forth through the desktops when the cursor is on an empty area of a desktop. They worked without having to make an...

Remove Icon caused a crash
While using the Desktop Windows utility to place icons on the four desktops, I selected Remove for an icon and the Desktop Windows utility crashed. Sorry, I don't recall the error message that it popped up. Dexpot then started doing very strange things. Icons that had previously been put on other de...
