Dexpot 1,6,14 build 2439
Windows 7 64-bit SP1
Not sure what triggers it, but the checkbox under Settings to enable MouseEvents gets unchecked?
The plugin works for a while, then I notice the hotkeys no longer function. Checking settings confirms that it is not enabled.
May be related to wake from Sleep?
MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Does it happen consistently after waking from sleep? If not, can you try to pin it down further? Any error/crash messages concerning MouseEvents? Anything in the Windows Event Viewer?
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
I'm having the same problem, also on Win7 x64 and the same Dexpot build. It's been going on since I installed Dexpot 3 days ago. It's not related to Sleep for me (which is not even enabled on my system). Just a few minutes ago it crashed while I browsing around with Chrome. The previous crash was while the system was mostly idle (just torrenting) in the middle of the night. I haven't been able to pin down any common cause yet. There have been about a half-dozen instances of this happening so far.
The error message I get each time is the standard Windows "Dexpot MouseEvents plugin has stopped working."
Event Viewer:
Faulting application name: MouseEvents.exe, version: 1.3.1.0, time stamp: 0x53903536

Things I always have running in the background:
WindowBlinds (Echo skin)
Rainmeter (Bar Code Clock skin, nothing else)
Filezilla FTP Server (service) and Filezilla Server Interface
FreeDNS Update
Google Drive
qBittorrent
Razer Synapse
Thanks. I'll check back regularly, so if there's any further information, I'd be happy to provide it.

And:
BitDefender Free
Ventrilo Server service
Forgot to mention those in my list of possibly-maybe-relevant(?) running programs.

Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Quick update - I am still experiencing this issue. It is not related to the resume from sleep.
Unfortunately, I have not discovered a pattern that leads to pinning down further the cause for it being disabled. I will try to collect some logs, but don't recall seeing any related entries in the Windows Event Viewer. Nor a crash dialog from dexpot...

Could you please create a crash dump for MouseEvents when the message appears?

Crash dump.
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Forgot to sign that last post, but it's me again with that crash dump.
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Could you disable BitDefender for a while and see if the problem still occurs?

I'll give it a shot and let you know.
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
I think we may have a winner. No issues in the past day with BitDefender turned off. That's a pity, I rather liked the simplicity of BD. Oh well, time to find a new AV solution...
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
Thanks for your help, Patrick. I appreciate you taking the time to look into it.
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
No error dialogs or notifications of a crash pop-up on screen. I notice there is a problem when the hotkeys stop working.
I attached the dexpot log file. Seems to be an entry at the bottom that may be of interest?
"12:26:40> Plugin unclean completed: Mouse Events"
There is also an Application Error in the Windows Event Viewer.

Scratch that. I spoke too soon. I guess I just got lucky, and it managed to not crash for a 24 hour period. It just happened with BD completely uninstalled. Here's a new crash dump from that incident.
Crash Dump
Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
This is still crashing multiple times per day and I have not figured out what triggers it.
I have not noticed any conflicts, pop-up errors, or other programs behaving abnormally.
What information can I provide to find the root cause?

Re: MouseEvents plugin disabling itself
I am pleased to report that since 1/16, this plugin has not crashed and the MouseEvents seem to be working fine!
I have no explanation for the root cause, but suspect there must have been a conflict with something else that was updated.
After checking the installed programs around that date, there is nothing that jumps out.
