Can't move file to other desktop by dragging to Desktop Manager icon

Just moved to Win 10.
Now, when I drag a file icon to a different desktop within the Desktop Manager list, the file will not move to the chosen desktop.
I've used Dexpot for years. I've always thought it was a great program. Looking at Win10 virtual desktop offering, I now better understand how great Dexpot really is.
