I'm using bbLean as shell replacement for the standard explorer.exe (http://bb4win.sourceforge.net/bblean/). I am also looking to expand my workspace by using Dexpot.
The problem is that Dexpot don't see bbLean as my shell. For every new VD I need to restart bbLean on it. This is sort of annoying as you can only run one instance of bbLean.
I'm therefore wondering if it's possible to run Dexpot while using bbLean without this problem?
Would be great to do so as I'm also using Rainmeter.
bbLean + Dexpot
Re: bbLean + Dexpot
It's possible, but there may well be other compatibility problems. I wouldn't recommend using Dexpot with a shell other than Explorer, particularly when the replacement already supports multiple desktops...
If you still want to try: Create a text file called mywechsel.ini in your Dexpot installation folder with the following content and restart Dexpot.
Code: Select all
[Exe]
blackbox.exe=ignore
Re: bbLean + Dexpot
Hey, that works great!
And yeah, I know bbLean already have it's own VD, I already got it up to work kinda like how awesome works with it's nine VDs.
But I want to try and see what I can make with Dexpot. Especially since it can be controlled via Rainmeter.
+ now I got 9 VDs + all the ones Dexpot gives me.

Ok, let us know what you find out. We're still ironing out a few problems with the Rainmeter interaction. Would you mind if I make you a beta tester?
