I get duplicated icons in Dexpot Preview when using Windows Media Player (WMP). There are usually 5 WMP icons, 4 the same size and one slightly smaller one, the latter of which disappears when WMP is minimized. Here's a few pics showing the duplicate icons, and the desktop showing no other applications on that specific desktop. The task manager only shows one instance of WMP. I'm on Win 7x64, Dexpot 1.6.14 Build 2439 (the most recent non-beta). Couldn't find anything in the forums related to similar issues.
