Windows 8.1 metro app active icon on all desktops

How do I isolate a active metro app from not showing its active taskbar icon onto another desktop that never opened this app?
I switched the sub-option in plugins & extras with the behavior doing nothing in relation to the other active desktops. I would imagine a windows system error pop-up (or any system prompt) doing the same thing by broadcasting on all dexpot windows. I tried searching the forums but all the other threads about windows 8 metro apps seem to deal with random instances of apps running.
