Keyboard input stops working. Only resumes when I switch.

Hi. Quite often I switch to a desktop and start typing and find that no characters are appearing. Even if I click right in the text field repeatedly and the cursor is in their, flashing, none of my keypresses seem to reach the component.

Then I switch to another desktop and back again and the problem is fixes. Interestingly, in order to switch desktops I use Atl-(1|2|3) and this does work. At first I thought the keypresses were being sent to the wrong desktop. While that may be the case, I have not notices any of my typed sentences appearing in other programs (but the last program may not have accepted/recorded text, so it is hard to say).

Thanks,
Anthony Holland

I am also having this issue. It happens every time I switch to another desktop(using alt + 1,2,3, or 4). Hitting the windows key twice seems to make the keyboard work in that desktop again. I figure it has something to do with dexpot and Windows 10's native multi-desktop app crashing together.

I have the same problem, and running Windows 8.1, so it's not a Windows 10 conflict issue. Looking forward to an update/fix for this, as I really love Dexpot and would hate to have to switch to something else because of this :-(

Unfortunately, I am having the same issue on Windows 8.1 and it's quite annoying to the point that I consider uninstalling as I cannot really do my job... could you please fix that?

Is this still not resolved? This is significant enough that I'm uninstalling Dexpot.

Same problem here.
Fastest 'fix' i found is hitting the windows button then escape, that seems to fix it temporarily.

OMG!

I have been looking for a solution to this issue for ages - I reinstalled my entire operating system to attempt to fix this really annoying issue.

behold - that was not the solution - the issue has started happening again on windows 8.1

Please fix this! I love Dexpot, but it is totally unusable at the moment!!

Thanks

I am experiencing the same issue. Windows 7 Pro. It happens frequently (but not every time) I switch desktops. Fix for me is to reset the active window (click on any other window, then back again) and I can type. Very frustrating though and would love to see a fix.

See what appears to be same issue being described on Chrome forums

:dex:,

guys, thanks for reporting. I can confirm this is an issue, particularly with Chrome windows distributed across desktops. We'll see what we can do about it.

Can't Type Right After Switching Desktops

Right after I switch desktops, I cannot type anything until I alt tab to a different window. A note, I do have administrator access allowed.

Same here. Cannot start typing if I use a keyboard shortcut for switching between desktops.
Windows 7.

Messages about this problem have been appearing since August of last year, and not a single reply from the Dexpot team has been posted in the thread. Hello? If you are not planning on coming out with a fix any time soon, at least acknowledge the fact that you are aware of this problem.

You mean apart from the post just two above yours, specifically recognising this as an issue?
