Dexpot Preview and Fitt's Law

One small suggestion: Is it possible to have an option to remove the resizing border around the Dexpot Preview tool?

Here's my reasoning: Fitt's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fitts%27s_law) is a computer interface rule that the smaller a target (eg a button you want to press) the longer it takes to get there.

This is why edges and corners of the desktop are easy to reach: they have essentially "infinte" width.

This relates to dexpot preview because I have it laid out vertically and autohide it on the right of my screen. Usually I get there by jamming my mouse all the way to the the right, and sliding down the edge until I get to my desired desktop. However, I can't simply mouse click there to switch desktips, because I only end up clicking on the resizing border. I need to move back to the left a bit before I click. Eliminating the border would make this switch easier, by using Fitt's law.

I understand you're probably rolling your eyes  as this seems like a small point, but consider that most people rarely resize their Desktop preview, but are ALWAYS switching desktops. So it adds up! :D Let me know if you have any thoughts.

:dex:

We've modified the behavior of the auto-hide feature such that when sliding out the preview, the window border adjacent to the screen edge stays hidden. Better compliance with Fitts' law without further cluttering up the settings...

Glad to see this implemented!
Could there be an option to get rid of the "peeking" border of the Preview window as well? So you can't tell it's there at all until you place your mouse cursor on the screen edge. I'm a big minimalist (oxymoronic?)

Thanks much for implementing this.

While I'm being greedy, any chance you can enable Desktop Preview to use mouse scroll to change desktops (like Desktop Manager)?

I don't have a fancy UI rule to invoke here, but mouse scroll is easier than button click. Maybe we can call it Traycerb's Law

Nevermind my last request. There's a perfectly good alternative way to do this with autohotkey, which I posted here:

As a very happy Dexpot user (Dexpotter ?) I have hardly anything to complain, but I was wondering if there´s any chance that elliotm´s request for a borderless desktop preview is going to be implemented?
It´s something that I also would very much appreciate, as I like my desktop very clean. Having the desktop background set to black, the little border peeking out, somehow gets on the nerves after a while. Really simple, but it will definitely make for a better user experience. Somehow "less is more" is so true.

Thanks for making such a great app!!!

Would you like to become a beta tester to help us test this new feature?
