Dexpot 1.6.1 Build 2121 and Windows 8 RTM

Hi,

I've been successfully using earlier builds of Dexpot on Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

Recently, I installed the Windows 8 RTM (Pro), and then Dexpot 1.6.1 Build 2121.

In this build, and with Windows 8 RTM, the Taskbar Pager no longer works correctly - instead of remaining at the right-hand side, it moves along the taskbar and obliterates other pinned or unpinned running tasks.

Hopefully this is something easy to fix!

have you tried restarting Dexpot? I'm not able to reproduce your issue with Windows 8.

Restarting dexpot (or windows) made no difference. I am also running Start8 from stardock, so will try disabling that today to see...

(Update)

Before getting the chance to check Start8, Dexpot updated to 1.6.2 Build 2143. Unfortunately the issue remained.

Uninstalling Start8 appears to have resolved the issue, but I am obviously now without a Start button I was using a different solution previously in the CP builds, though, so will check if that is compatible with Dexpot.

Hi Sebastian,

yes - that's what I was using previously, and have reverted to it again, though I preferred the way Stardock's Start8 handled the Windows 8 start screen.

Oh well, at least I have my start orb back, AND dexpot is working correctly again so I'm about 95% happy!
