Hi,
After installing Dexpot I've noticed that the default Windows 7 (alt+tab) task switcher has changed to classical theme. So now instead of thumbnails, it contains icons, and I cannot navigate between tasks using arrow keys either. I assume that Dexpot is interfering with the default task switcher because it happened right after installation. I tried re-enabling Aero Peek and desktop composition in the system properties but it didn't work. Is any way to get back the default task switcher?
The version of Dexpot I use is 1.6.14, and build number is 2439
My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Any help is appreciated.
Dexpot interfering with default task switcher

Windows will drop back to the classic theme if it's low on system resources (among others). Did it change the task switcher only or disable the Aero theme system-wide?
Type 'Aero' in the Start menu's search box. Look for 'Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects'.

I tried running the troubleshooter but the only thing it did is that it enabled transparency. Aero theme didn't get disabled system-wide, only the task switcher was affected.
You mentioned that low system resources might be what's causing the problem. How can I identify these? My RAM has 3 GB free memory out of 8 at the moment. Disk space is plenty. So, I guess this cannot be the problem. What else could I check?

Solved!
I managed to solve the problem by deleting "AltTabSettings" in the Registry Editor, from the following path:

thanks for the hint. This makes Windows use the old-fashioned switcher.
Somebody must have added the value, though.
